Renal Dialysis at MGH’s state-of-the-art Renal Dialysis facility caters to around 40 patients per day. The goal of the facility is to provide the best possible service and the highest medical and nursing care within a safe, therapeutic environment.
The unit provides high-quality services for patients with acute and chronic kidney disease. It aims to improve the kidney health of all patients, to better manage their ongoing health care needs, and to improve patient outcomes.
The unit has the capacity to receive urgent cases 24 hours a day. Specialized doctors and highly qualified nurses work together according to a well-planned, efficient program.
The unit offers a wide range of outpatient and inpatient hemodialysis services. The Department also coordinates the functions of Renal Dialysis with all other departments and provides dialysis services for patients in the ICU, CCU, and Isolation Unit. Hemodialysis is provided in isolation for patients with Hepatitis and HIV.
